Bloomin' spring

It's early to call it spring, but it's hard not to be excited. Wow. So I mentioned that the Snow Drops are looking like they might be winding down, but so many things are gearing up. "Tuning up", John calls it.

These little ground Iris are in full throat. The crocus are likewise, and of course the Hellobores sneaked in while we were looking the other way.

I had to resist the temptation to get the chaises out. It's not quite warm enough, but after a winter socializing around various outdoor venues, this tentative warmth is more seductive. . .tantalizing. . .appreciated. . than in most years.
